Our Story
 

Wings & Words of Hope, Inc., also known as the Joseph A. Finney Sr. Foundation, is a nonprofit based in Juliette, Georgia. The organization was founded by Cheryl Finney in honor of her late husband, Joseph A. Finney Sr., who passed away from cancer in May 2020. His passing inspired her to establish the foundation with his dying wish: to uplift and support caregivers and their families. The foundation focuses on caretakers—individuals who devote themselves full‑time to caring for loved ones. They provide programs, resources, and community events to encourage and support these heroes. One especially meaningful program is their annual Caregiver Benefit Dinner, which publicly honors nominated caregivers for their service. Wings & Words of Hope operates from the Joseph A. Finney Sr. Community Center, running regular community events and support initiatives for both children and caregivers.
